Sonakshi Sinha Marries Longtime Boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal in Private Ceremony




New Delhi:Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal in an intimate ceremony at her Bandra apartment in Mumbai on Sunday. Following the ceremony, the couple celebrated with a grand reception at Bastian.


Days later, Sonakshi's father, Shatrughan Sinha, shared his feelings about his daughter's wedding. In an interview with Times Now, he expressed his joy, saying, “Is that even a question? Every father looks forward to the moment his daughter marries her chosen partner. My daughter is happiest with Zaheer. May their union be blessed.”


He added, “Forty-four years ago, I married the woman of my choice, Poonam Sinha, who was successful, beautiful, and talented. Now it's Sonakshi's turn to marry the man of her choice.”


Sonakshi’s brother, Luv Sinha, addressed his absence from the wedding in an interview with Hindustan Times. When asked why he wasn't present, Luv replied, "Please give it a day or two. I'll respond to your question then if I feel I can. Thank you for asking." 

Sonakshi’s parents, Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha, were present at both the registry ceremony and the reception on Sunday night. However, her twin brothers, Luv and Kush Sinha, were noticeably absent from the events. Although many wedding pictures and videos circulated on social media, the brothers were not seen in any family photos.


A source confirmed the brothers' absence to Hindustan Times, saying, "Sonakshi's parents attended the wedding and were naturally overjoyed. However, her brothers did not attend the wedding or the reception. The photographers didn’t capture them entering the venue, which everyone found quite unusual."


Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal registered their marriage under the Special Marriage Act. The civil ceremony was held at Sonakshi’s new apartment, 81 Aureate, located near the Rang Sharda Auditorium in Bandra West, Mumbai.
